Is Rotary for Men only?
No. Many clubs have female members although some clubs do retain single
gender status. There are a number of clubs with female presidents within
gender status. There are a number of clubs with female presidents within
our district.
Are there Attendance requirements?
Fellowship is the essence of Rotary and this is helped by regular attendance. Each
member of the club is required to attend or "make up" attendance to a level of at
least 50%. This can include visits to other Rotary Clubs, certain District events

New Rotarians need to be proposed by an d existing member and applications
are subject to approval by all the existing club members. There is no age limit
for Rotarians.

Members and in most cases joining should not be a problem.

What is the cost of being a member?
This year the full annual subscription is £99 together with the cost of meals, £9-50
at present. Additional costs really depend on the involvement of the individual.
Charges are made for some social events such as Ladies Night or Safari Supper.
